Our story
Grit. Shimmer. Volume.
Swedey (pronounced like Sweetie) is a four-piece rock band from the Pacific Northwest blending grit with the shimmer of shoegaze — a riff-driven, emotionally charged sound that’s as heavy as it is hypnotic.
Formed by longtime friends and collaborators, Swedey is a project born from friendship, healing, and a shared love of sound. Raw. Melodic. Deeply human.
The lineup
Meet the band
-
Zach Whiton
Guitar, Lead Vocals
Main creative engine — Longview grit meets shoegaze shimmer. Founding member of 1776; cut his teeth touring and releasing on The Dandy Warhols’ Beat the World Records. Swedey is the outlet, the therapy, and the second act.
-
Kevin Heiderich
Bass, Vocals
Steady hand and beating heart. Self-taught bassist since 1994, Navy vet, father of three, and the organizer / mentor offstage — with tour booking and band management scars to prove it.
-
Cody “The Roadie” Campbell
Guitar
Once the roadie for 1776, now full-fledged guitar. Rhythm-rooted with lead flashes that lock to Zach’s harmonies. Shy offstage. First live show with Swedey — first of many.
-
Kyle Woodring
Drums
Behind the kit. Bio coming — the beat’s already here.
